I have found that I am adaptable and can multi-task very well from my experience at the Sodexo-Denver Wellness and Nutrition Center, where I shadowed and assisted RDNs on a weekly basis in 2013. The extent of specialty areas I have been exposed to here has promoted further interest in my working with patients of varying conditions and demographics. It was not uncommon for me to be writing a note to a bariatric surgeon one minute, sitting in on a session with a cardiac patient the next, and then observing diabetes education all in one afternoon here. I enjoyed this ever-changing environment that exposed me to a variety of patient interactions, varying disease states, differences in treatments and protocols, as well as vital experience with charting. This introduction to the profession has been an invaluable asset for internships and careers to come.
